 free speech is a key part of what it means to be American and a key part of the constitution. the very first amendment deals with the freedom of speech. without it we would not be America which prides itself on being able to speak your mind without any problems. the idea of a free marketplace of ideas has been created with the introduction of the printing press. the people of the country are able to use printed material to spread their ideas and share it with the world and around the country. with the introduction of the internet and television the people around the world can share their ideas with the rest of the world and view others ideas as well. it is amazing to think that without this people would be taught about only one ideal and how things should be, they would not be able to express themselves in the way they want or share their personality around the world. One of the biggest free market of ideas in the world is Facebook. this platform is used for people to share their ideas and find likeminded individuals to talk with and grow with. the people of the country use this to try and learn more about the world and their own country while they try to make it in life. https://www.facebook.com/facebook/
